This section of Apoms can be used to find emergency cases that have already been entered into Apoms. The search results are at the patient level, so multiple results might be returned for a single case. For instance if a single emergency number is associated with 5 patients then a search for the emergency number will return 5 results. An example of this is below.
The search box can be used for entering the details of the case you are searching for. Clicking the show/hide criteria arrow on the left hand side of the search box will display the below:
You can then select the field you want to search by from the Search field dropdown. Each search field has a shortcut that can be typed directly into the search box. So instead of clicking the show/hide criteria dropdown and then selecting Caller name and entering a value the user can simply type cname: followed by the search value. When using the search fields from the dropdown the search box will automatically be populated with the shortcuts for each field selected.

The search criteria field will respond to the search field type. If the search field is a date then a calendar will be displayed enabling quick searching by date and prevent dates in the wrong format being entered. Some fields like Animal type and problem will result in a dropdown being displayed allowing the user to select a value from the same list as where the value was originally entered.
The search box has a number of default search capabilities that can be used as a shortcut
Tag number: Entering a value that starts with a letter will default to searching by tag number
Emergency case: Entering a value that starts with a number and is less than 10 digits will search for an emergency number
Created date: Entering a date in the format dd/mm/yyyy will default to searching for the call date
Telephone number: Entering a number that is 10 digits or longer will default to searching for the caller number
After carrying out a search the search results will be displayed, the results are limited to 100 patients. The search results card itself has a number of functions intended to make it quick to enter details about the patient or upload photos
Edit case button: There are 3 search results areas (Emergency Register, Hospital Manager, and StreetTreat) where the search results card will be displayed. Clicking the edit case button will open the case in the current area, for instance, if searching from the Emergency Register then clicking this button will open the relevant case in the add case form.
Count of images: Clicking this button will display the gallery of images for this case
Edit patient status: This button will display the patient status form and allow the user to enter of updates the current details of the patient
Rescue details: Clicking the rescue details button will show the emergency details of the patient. Updating these details will also update the outstanding case board if the case is yet to have an outcome.
Caller interactions: Clicking this button allows the user to enter details of interactions that the caller has had with the shelter.
Surgery record: From here the user can enter the details of surgeries the patient has undergone
Release form: This section records and displays the details of the release details for the patient. Updating these details will also update the outstanding case board, driver view, and outstanding case map automatically.
When no results are displayed a screed is shown letting the user know:
