Documentation for Animal Aid Unlimited's nimal Protection Organisation Management System (APOMS)
Apoms is a shelter management system designed for animal protection organisations working within the rescue - treat - release framework. Western shelter management systems do not focus on releases as in most Western countries the vast majority of domesticated animals (apart from feral populations) are owned. When they are brought to a shelter it is assumed that they will leave as adopted animals and will go to a home for the rest of their lives. In countries where street animal populations are common, in South Asia for instance shelters require the facility to coordinate and track releases of street animals back to their communities
Add and track the status of emergency calls as they progress from rescue to admitted
Manage in-patient data such as pictures, treatment history, current location within the shelter and surgeries
Apoms in-built mapping shows exactly where current outstanding rescue cases are so you can efficiently organise rescue. Ambulance staff using the Driver View will automatically report their location back to the map so it's easy to see which patients they have in-ambulance and how long they have been on the road.
Apoms' Treatment List functionality allows you to see which patients are in which area of the shelter and efficiently and effectively treat each patient each day
Speed and efficiency are key to ensuring rescues services get to patients as quickly as possible. Apoms allows operators to enter the most vital details quickly to ensure that no case gets lost in the paperwork and is tracked from initial call to admission.
Rich reporting lets you know how many patients you have in the shelter at any moment in real time. Scheduled overnight reporting also gives full pictures of historical numbers which quickly shows insights into shelter operations
Easily assign staff to vehicles to organise schedules for ambulance staff and ensure proper coverage throughout the day
Allow ambulance staff to receive assigned cases on their mobile device and add location, arrival and rescue times, as well as upload images of the patient
Track details of surgeries performed by location and surgeon allowing you to deep dive into data and drive efficiencies
