The Vehicle Staff Assigned is used to assign staff to vehicles. This action is vital for ensuring that ambulances are available in the Add Emergency Case form.
Assigning staff to a vehicle
The first step in the process is to select the date you wish to build a schedule for.
Shift date: This is the date that the shifts added will be for
Include inactive vehicles: Vehicles can be set to inactive, but you may wish to see the schedule for a day in the past and sliding this slider will show all vehicles, active and inactive on the day selected.
Vehicle Shift
Each active vehicle is listed for each day and can have multiple shifts assigned to it. The below image shows the different parts of the vehicle shift assigner for a vehicle
To add a shift click the add shift button, the add shift form will then appear:
Shift start time: This is the beginning of the shift and must be after the start of the hour range (the hour range start defaults to 0700). This must also be before the end of the shift hour range and before the end of the shift also.
Shift end time: This is the end of the shift. It must be after the shift start time and after the shift hour range start time, it also must be before the shift hour range end time which defaults to 2300).
Staff *: You can select users that have the rescuer job type here to add as staff to the vehicle. The number of rescuers is dependent on the rescuer capacity of the vehicle and can be set in the Vehicle List. Each vehicle has a minimum and maximum rescuer capacity, and when assigning a shift at least the minimum number of rescuers must be assigned in order to save the shift. For instance in the above example the vehicle has a minimum rescuer capacity of 2, which is why 2 of the Staff fields are required, and a maximum rescuer capacity of 3, so the 3rd rescuer is optional and is not required to save the shift.
You can add multiple shifts on the same day, containing multiple different users. The only limit is that you can only assign one staff member to one shift for one vehicle at a time and shifts for a single vehicle cannot overlap.
Below is an example of a vehicle with 3 assigned shifts:
The details of a particular shift can be edited by clicking the edit shift button, and shifts can be deleted by clicking the red delete shift button
